This product is hand painted by a rural housewife and mother from Darbhanga. She learnt this art from her mother at the age of 12 and since then she has painted bed covers, sarees, bags and cushion covers.

She has taught this art to about 10 more rural women in her village. With limited resources, she has shown great enterprise in learning and developing this ethnic art form from Mithila.
