Do not use chemical soap or detergents for washing. It may soak into the pores and seep into the food and invite fungus. Since the products are natural, organic way of washing is recommended. Soak the product in warm water with lemon and baking soda and gently wash it with hands. It removes all the stains and odor and freshen the product every time.

Do not use hard metallic scrub pads. Use soft sponge, bottle cleaner brush can be used to clean the products with great depth such as mugs, glasses and jugs.

Wash with normal water before first use. Products like bottle and jugs are suggested to be soaked for few hours in warm water to minimize the oozing of water out.

Its very normal and natural to experience little water drops oozing out from earthen bottles and jugs for the first few uses. 

Terracotta has got innumerable tiny pores that helps in self cooling of the water. Over the period of time, the pores get clogged and water stops oozing out.

Dry the products thoroughly after washing and store in dry place.
